Liz Maidment (France)

Embroidering the Garden/ Landscape/ Flowers with spray painted background

Students work from a drawing or selection from a personal/family/friend’s photograph(s) (please no postcards or book pictures) of a landscape / garden scene / vase of fl owers / still life and all or a selected part of the drawing /photo will be used as the idea to work from. A template is prepared from this base and used to spray-paint the background before hand embroidery and collage begin.
Silk is a beautiful background fabric but cotton is very attractive also. Free machining
is an optional additional technique. This is an embroidery class with stitching and collage used creatively.(Materials fee of $12 per person.)
