Cathy Moon

Cathy Moon obtained her Bachelor of Education from the University of New England and has taught Textiles and Design at both High schools and TAFE. Her formal studies in textiles led to an in-depth study of fabrics, dyes and shibori techniques. She has taught extensively throughout Australia and has exhibited at The World Shibori Symposiums in Paris and Hong Kong. 

Her work has been purchased by galleries and private collectors and published in Textile Fibre Forum magazine, Embellish magazine and the seminal book Textiles: The Art of Mankind (Mary Schoeser).
