Artist
Kelly Nelissen (Western Australia)
Kelly Nelissen is a Narrogin based sculptor working in the fields of textiles, glass, metalwork and woodwork. Her work in using materials such as metal and incorporating softer more tactile elements such as fabrics mean the combination, on the surface seem incompatible but work seamlessly together. Her consideration of recycled materials is informative of how a piece of work evolves from start to finish.
She has exhibited in several group exhibitions including The Alterative Archive: Common Ground 2019, Open Borders: Regional Arts Triennial 2023 exhibition where she was selected to display work at John Curtin Gallery.
Her work can be found in public and private collections and has work selling on consignment at Narrogin and Dryandra Visitors Centre.
