Some years after obtaining her interpreter diploma in 1985, Dagmar Binder decided to turn her passion for the arts into a profession. She enrolled at Berlin University of Arts and was fortunate to come across felting in 1997. It changed her life!
Fascinated by the surprising possibilities that wool offered for creating artistic work, Dagmar started her felting studio in 1999, developing and creating unique, handmade wearables and fine art objects.
She has participated in numerous exhibitions, art and craft shows and has undertaken residencies in Brazil, Peru and Bolivia. Since 2005 she teaches internationally and enjoys combining her language and art skills, meeting artists, exchanging ideas and expertise and sharing her passion for an ancient yet very contemporary craft and art medium.
