The number is 08 9622 2936 for Avon Valley Taxis in Northam. If you are arriving at Northam Station, we advise you to book your taxi ahead of time. By Car - From the west (Perth):
From Midland, take the Great Eastern Highway and head east. At Clackline, turn right on to Spencers Brook Road just after the Clackline bridge. Continue on this road for approximately 19 km. Go past the Spencers Brook Tavern, over the railway crossing and the Avon River bridge. Look for the Muresk Institute signpost and turn right into Muresk Drive. By Car - From the north (Geraldton):
Take Great Northern Highway to Moora and then the Piawaning turn off (18km south of Walebing). This road is called the Waddington-Wongan Hills Road. Once at Piawaning, turn right at the T junction and then take another right once over the railway line (you will then be heading south). From there you will pass through Yerecoin, Calingiri, Bolgart, Toodyay and Clackline. Drive another 19 km (after turning left at the Clackline T junction), passing through Spencers Brook. After the railway line and bridge make a sharp right turn into Muresk Institute. By Car - From the south (Albany):
Travel to York township, making sure to turn left off the main road, go over the river and into the town centre. Turn right onto the main street and keep going north. This road will become the Spencers Brook-York Road. At Spencers Brook there is a T junction, turn right, go over the bridge and then turn right into Muresk Institute. By Car - From the east (Merredin):
Take Great Eastern Highway to Northam. Turn right on to Peel Terrace. Look out for Wellington Street on the left (just opposite the entrance to the railway station). Wellington Street runs parallel to the town’s main street and becomes Spencers Brook Road, which leads to Muresk. The turn into Muresk Institute will be on a bend to the left, before the township of Spencers Brook. |
